Papertrey Ink | Make It Market: Wonderland Kit

I’m so excited about today’s post! I get the wonderful opportunity to introduce Betsy Veldman’s 2017 Make It Market: Wonderland holiday kit. I created a card, dome, and gift box with a coordinating tag. Details about kit contents are in images at the end of my post.

I created three projects that coordinated; however, this kit is not limited to the color choices I used. You have the opportunity to select your own color palette using the stamps, dies, and stencils. The patterned papers also have a mix of color combinations too!

My gift box uses a pre-cut/scored box I have had in my personal stash for a while now. It is NOT a part of the kit, but I wanted to show how you can use items you may already have, such as a gift box during the holidays and transform its outwardly appearance into a beautiful gift box design.

I layered two patterns of the ribbon on the exterior of the box, then added the top over top.

The tag is a pre-printed patterned paper element that I die cut. I embellished the tag using a mini clothespin, paper flower, clear leaf jewel, and silver twine.

I stamped the to/from onto a circle die cut from Tremendous Tags die collection.

And just that simple, my simple blue gift box has come to life. Whether I choose to add a clear dome as a gift inside or place another item in the box, I know for sure that the recipient will be so excited.

Paper: White

Ink: Pure Poppy

Dies: Tremendous Tags

Other: blue gift box (personal supply)

My next project is a three-dimensional clear dome. I used the patterned papers to die cut the pickup truck. After assembling the truck, I added some faux snow, pine trees and pickup truck to the clear dome.

I embellished the clear dome with the red scalloped trim.

This card uses the stencils, stamps, and dies from the kit. I started by die cutting the scalloped oval tag. Next, I added the aqua mist ink blending using the stencils.

Next, I used one stencil to add the falling snowflakes using text paste over the aqua mist ink blending.

I die cut the city scene and added the shadowing using a watermark marker (you can also use the stamp set). I stamped the sentiment using watermark ink and white embossing powder.

Last, I stamped the floral images and deer on coordinating die cuts and added them to the die cut.

On the card front, I dry embossed the tree background using stencils. I added the striped ribbon trim and the tag.

This kit is definitely the kit to top all kits. Betsy has gone above and beyond with this one! Each and every piece has been thoughtfully designed and selected to give you an endless amount of design options as you prepare for the holidays. From gorgeous gift tags to unforgettable holiday cards, you will have everything you need at your fingertips! One of the best parts of this kit? Well besides the innovative die-cut and stamped mini vintage pick-up truck. The mini cloches! Yes! Real mini cloches! Betsy cleverly designed all of the elements to fit inside these sweet mini cloches that you can use for gifts, holiday table decor, the perfect finishing touch for your tree and SO much more.
