Papertrey Ink | Halloween Hugs + Wicked Elixir

Hey friends! Halloween will be here in a couple of months, so I hope you’re ready! I have a treat favor box idea for kids’ parties at school and a card.

Wicked Elixir is such a fun set! You can definitely pair this with other previously released stamps and dies to create the ultimate Halloween scenic card. I chose to make the potions a focal point.

I started by stamping the coordinating images onto the Wicked Elixir die cuts. Next, I die cut the Mix + Mat: Pinked Edge die and added the dotted border. Then, I stamped the shadow and the the potion directly onto the focal pinked edge die cut. I added the stamped die cuts to finish the panel.

Then, I stamped the sentiment (from Autumn Scarecrow) and the splatters.

Next, I completed my card by adding the striped patterned paper, ribbon treatment, and the pinked edge panel.

Stamps: Wicked Elixir, In the Shadows, Autumn Scarecrow

Paper: Rustic White, Orange Zest, Bitty Big: True Black patterned paper

Dies: Mix + Mat: Pinked Edge, Wicked Elixir

My next project is a Halloween candy box. This is perfect to make for kids or Halloween parties. I used the new Make It Market Mini Kit: Halloween Hugs, which is an amazing kit at a great $30 value to create so many Halloween project variations. The kit includes stamps, dies, and patterned papers.

I used Tag Sale: Huggable die to position the cat hugging the candy treat box.

To start, I assembled the Truffle Treat Box, which was super easy. It takes (1) sheet of 8.5 “x 11″ cardstock (cut in half at 5.5”). Make two cuts of the treat box die. Next, I stamped the star pattern. Then, I assembled, which were a few folds.

Next, I die cut the treat tag from the patterned paper in the kit. I added it to the treat box.

Then, I die cut the Tag Sale: Huggable die and added the cat die cuts. The paws were added by sliding them through the sides of the box. Those slits were hand cut by me. They are actually the score lines that allow you to build the box.

Last, I added some ribbon treatment. Please note that the box has handles (behind my ribbon).
