Papertrey Ink March 2017 Blog Hop Challenge

Today is Papertrey Ink’s March Blog Hop Challenge. You can read all about it here. I was inspired by Victoria Johnson’s use of color and combinations of floral images. So, I created a literal translation of one of her graphics.

I started with the new Courage & Kindness stamps to build the floral clusters.

After die cutting the individual floral images, I stamped them and layered them together.

Next, I was inspired by the small flower images, so I pulled out Forget-Me-Not stamps and dies and stamped one of those clusters.

Last, I added some leaves from Vintage Linens product collection. Those are probably my favorite leaves and although they are not a literal translation from the inspiration image I posted above, they are from another inspiration image for the blog hop challenge. So, I mixed a couple of the images for inspiration.

Last, I stamped the sentiment “Easter Blessings” from Cutaway Tags: Spring. I heat embossed it in white embossing powder.

I’m not sure if I like Easter so late in the season, but I am hoping for beautiful, sunny weather for sure!

Without this challenge, I would have never combined these colors together for a card. This is such a bold design, but I like it!

Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy your weekend!
