Have you heard? Papertrey Ink released their 2017 Moments Inked Planner, plus a NEW Meal Planner! You can get all planners in either the loose leaf version (to add to a Moments Inked binder system) or a spiral format or both! I have a fun post to share with you today reviewing the calendar planner as well as the meal planner.
The focus on this post is on the new meal planner, but I couldn’t post without saying something about the calendar. There are a few changes that I discuss in my video review below, but for the most part it is the same. Here is an image of the spiral bound version of the planner. The binder version is also available and displayed in the video review.
I’m happy to have this planner now to add school closure dates and more for the new year.
The meal planner is just what I’ve been wanting. I’ve made my own meal planners in the past by adding sections or jotting down meals in my Moments Inked planners. However, having a meal planner page is even better because it’s already printed and all I have to do is fill in the blanks.
The binder version is great if you want to add a meal plan page each week to your planner. You could also keep the binder version separate in it’s own special binder.
A benefit of the loose leaf version is that you can remove it from the binder in its entirety and tote it around and place it for the family to read or add to grocery lists/errands. I’ve shown here how it looks on my refrigerator.
Take it out and place it on your work surface to keep a reminder of what you’re prepping for the day/week.
When I first received information about the Meal Planners, I wanted it in the spiral bound version. I thought keeping it in its own book would be best and I could easily access previous weeks’ plans and repeat them if needed. I have since decided to use it to prepare Lauren’s school lunches. A record of what she’s getting for lunch helps me prepare the meals in the morning before school and also give me ideas when I need to prepare something a little different. I don’t like to pack her the same lunch every day.
To help me in the mornings, I can print out the daily labels required for her lunches and tuck them away in a pocket using the Moments Inked: Pocket Page die. Somehow, having these printed beforehand makes the mornings go a little bit more smoothly. I can also use this pocket to tuck away a note to myself for the morning reminding me of anything I need to do.

Thanks for visiting today! I hope I’ve inspired you to get organized for 2017! Don’t forget the planners make GREAT gifts for the holidays! I can’t wait to gift some of them to friends/family.
