Welcome to the last group post day for Papertrey Ink’s October 2016 Release! By the sounds of it, you are loving the new holiday product collections and I can totally understand why. This is the best season to create. There’s so much joy and heartfelt giving during this time of year. Holiday Hugs is a great kit that will make it easy for you to create all sorts of projects from cards to tags to gift assembles. I have a quick and easy gift package you can make quickly. The best part of my project is the treat that fits in the container. More on that later in the post! All new products will be available on October 15 at 10pm ET at Papertrey Ink.
I created a fun sweet treat holder using Holiday Hugs and the new cardboard containers being released tomorrow! The Make It Market Mini Kit: Holiday Hugs gives crafters plenty of options to create in multiple ways: stamping, die cutting, stenciling, and using patterned paper.
On this project, I stamped and mostly used the patterned paper to create this project.
The patterned paper included is beautiful. I embellished the container with this tag to offset some of the “dead space.” Inside of the container, I have a pack of Pocky Sticks. You can fit at least two packs in each container. The best part is that the packaging is red and white and the treats are already done! So, if you’re not a baker, this is the perfect treat that fits in this container.
Have you ever had Pocky Sticks? They’re so great! You can get them in chocolate or strawberry. They’re available at most stores, but Costco is a good place to go if you’re making a bunch (and want to keep some for yourself too)!
I chose to work with the snowman in Holiday Hugs. I stamped the outline, button, and the face, then colored the nose. I die cut the hat and mittens, then assembled the snowman.
I also used the new Simple Gift Bow die to embellish the top of the container. I positioned it so that the snowman is holding the bow.
Here is a view of the sides to show the mittens.
