Who is ready for Thanksgiving?

Turkey, Sweet Potatoes, Green Beans…do I have your attention yet? Well, whatever you decide to serve on Thanksgiving, keep in mind the presentation you can offer to your guests. A menu is not only a beautiful way to adorn your table-scape, but it’s also an effective way to inform your guests of what’s to come.

Preparing a menu is very simple. Once you have decided on your menu items, which I think will be the most challenging part, go ahead and draft up a document in a word processing program. Next, print out the amount of menus you need for each place setting. Last, let your creative spirit shine and stamp your heart out.

You can have beautiful menus prepared at least a week before Thanksgiving, prior to all of the chaos of grocery shopping and food preparations to come.

I stamped the wheat images directly onto the menu. I added the stamped acorn die cuts. Last, I added MENU die cut letters covered in gold liquid leaf. I layered the alpha letters to create a dimensional embellishment.

While you’re at it, prepare some place cards too! After die cutting the tags, I stamped the sentiment and acorn element, then simply wrote the name of the guest below. Easy. Peasy!

My next card is perfect to gift to a Thanksgiving hostess or loved one. I dry embossed the Mighty Oak design onto the cream cardstock. Next, I painted the gold onto the tree designs.

Using the new Splits: Giving Thanks, I stamped directly onto the die cut. To color the leaves and acorns, I used Papertrey Ink’s inks and a blender pen. Blender pens are perfect for achieving the perfect ink match and mimic a customized marker.

Last, I stamped the Thanksgiving sentiment from Giving Thanks and paired it with Keep It Simple: From All of Us.

Project by Ashley Cannon Newell for Papertrey Ink - August 2016 - #AshleyCannonNewell #PaperSuite #PapertreyInk - Color Pop: Autumn

Do you know someone who celebrates a birthday during the fall season? Well, why not gift them a card with the whole autumn shebang?!

I stamped the coordinating leaf, flower, and acorn images onto the die cuts using the new Color Pop: Autumn kit. This kit comes with everything you need. I focused on using the dies in the Color Pop kit to show you how you can use them along with the stencils and stamps to make a fun card.

After clustering all of the die cuts together, I added a banner with the Bountiful word die cut from Color Pop: Autumn.
