Welcome to the third group post day for Papertrey Ink’s April release. Let’s call today, Erin Day! It’s all about Erin’s latest and greatest stitching dies. Embroidery hoops are now available at your fingertips with countless possibilities. I foresee a collage of embroidery hoops on a wall in my house in the near future! All the new products will be available at Papertrey Ink on April 15 at 10 pm EDT.
I created a 5″ embroidery hoop using Stitched Rainbow + Stitched Circle Holes + Stitched Smile Cloud dies. The process was super easy to do. The first step is to select your design of choice and make all of the die cuts.
I chose to work with muslin; therefore, I had to use Heat’N Bond prior to die cutting the muslin fabric.
After you have all your die cuts and holes cut, you’re ready to sit in front of your favorite show with some popcorn and start stitching!
As an added tip, I placed my embroidery floss onto thread cards with a needle for each color. This made the process faster. I stitched each color at a time. I started with the red and went through the rainbow of colors, ending with the white for the clouds.
The “smile” word was used from Stitched Smile Cloud dies.
The Stitched Rainbow dies come with a couple of options. I chose to die cut the rainbow shape; however, you could choose to die cut the rainbow holes, leaving just the stitched shape.
I finished the the hoop with some pure poppy grosgrain ribbon and some pom pom trim around the outer edge of the embroidery hoop.
