Color Pop Butterflies

Welcome to the second group post day for Papertrey Ink’s April release. Betsy’s latest Make It Market Mini Kit is the feature for the day and it’s all about butterflies. All the new products will be available at Papertrey Ink on April 15 at 10 pm EDT.

My first card showcases a few of the items available in the kit, including patterned paper, dies, stamps, and stencils. I chose to ink blend the small flowers directly onto the patterned paper. For the butterflies, I die cut them from patterned paper and adhered them to the patterned paper with foam adhesive.

For the sentiment, I die cut the tiny pennant banner, stamped the greeting to go along with the word die cut.

The kit is super easy to do stamp, stencil, ink blend, and die cut without breaking a sweat. The best part is that the card results are perfect with just a little effort because everything you need is available at your fingertips.

My next card uses the stencils, stamps, and dies. I chose to stencil the butterfly bodies directly onto the white cardstock. Next, I die cut the butterflies and heat embossed the details onto vellum. I adhered the vellum butterfly die cuts by adding some liquid adhesive to the body of the butterfly only and pulling the wings away from the cardstock for depth.

I think this product collection pairs well with Betsy’s Inspired series. I used the new Faith addition by adding the word die cut and stamping the coordinating sentiments.

The white and purple design is soft, yet striking and the perfect way to uplift someone’s spirits who are in the trenches of life.
