I’m so thrilled to be continuing my creative journey with Papertrey Ink in 2016. I’ve been on the design team since 2011, making this my 5th year! WOW! I never would have thought I would be designing for Papertrey Ink because it was one of those lofty dreams of mine. I’m living a dreamed and extremely blessed to work with some of the best designers in the industry. Thank you for being supportive of my dream, visiting my blog, and sending encouraging and uplifting comments/notes.
I’m sharing my favorite card I made in 2015. I love the colors and the watercolored stripes. The flowers give it that pop of color needed tup uplift those spirits. Nichole designed a color inspiration card based on this card. Mine is below, but you can find more on her blog post here.
Today’s challenge is about using one of the design team’s color combinations to create a card. Well, it wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t make one too, so here is a new card I made using colors inspired from the card above.
Color Palette: Hibiscus Burst + Summer Sunrise + Simply Chartreuse + Soft Stone + Hawaiian Shores
I watercolored the flowers. The painting process is so relaxing.
I love being able to add natural details to the flowers to make each of the unique, just as you’d see in a bouquet or field.
This card’s bright and vibrant colors will surely make it so that the recipient knows you are thinking of them.
Stamps: Delightful Dahlia, Delightful Dahlia Additions, Graceful Greetings, Mum’s the Word
Ink: Hibiscus Burst, Summer Sunrise, True Black, Soft Stone, Simply Chartreuse, Raspberry Fizz
Cardstock: Hawaiian Shores, watercolor paper
I’m also trying something new! A video series on my blog featuring card making in action during the Papertrey Ink release. Let me know how you like it! I’ll try to record myself making projects so you can see how it’s done. I have to speed it up because otherwise you’d be watching me for hours. Think of it as a quick visit into my studio during the release.
