Hello! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. Before the new year arrives, the Papertrey Ink Moments Inked Design Team is posting reviews about the 2016 planner system. I am also doing a Periscope today at 1 pm ET, so I hope you will stop in to see the planners live!
Without further ado, here are loads of photos and a video as well.
The biggest update to the 2016 Moments Inked Memory Planner System is the alternative format. You can now purchase the planner in a binder format as well as a spiral bound version. The binders come in four colors – Natural Tan, Stone Gray, Ebony, and White. For additional details about the planner, please this post.
The binders are a faux leather accented with gold metal corners. If you’re like me shoving it into a tote bag while on-the-go, this will surely save your binder from getting “banged up” throughout the year(s).
You can get one color or all four and swap them out, or use the other binders to organize other important matters. Here are my binders lined up on my foyer desk.
You can add something to the binder spine or leave it plain. It’s all up to you and how you would like to use your planner.
Here is a view of the planner from the bottom. You can see it filled with the full planner, a notepad, and a pen and it closes securely with ease.

Let’s take a peek inside the planner. You can customize your binder with a dashboard to present you when you open it, but the planner has a cover page to get you started.
The tabs are in a rainbow of colors and laminated for durability. My tabs from my 2015 planner never bent or looked worn.

The laminated cover pages intended for the spiral bound planners can fit into the binders; however, they may slip out because of the spiral edges. However, they do fit! If you wanted them more permanent, you could cut off the spiral cuts and hole punch!
If you are wondering whether the planner will fit other binders on the market? Well, I can only test by A5 Love Doki planner I used last year and it will NOT fit. The holes do not align properly as you see here and the following photos.
EDITED TO ADD: I also have a Love Doki A6 Personal Binder and the good news is this…the holes align with A6 holes; however, the planner pages are too wide to actually fit in the personal size binder. If there is a binder out there that has A6 holes and wide enough to fit the width of the planner pages, plus a little bit to open/close, then that may work.
Whether you align from the top or bottom, the pages will not fit properly.
The holes may look to align here, but the top holes are way off.
Here is my desk with the spiral bound planner. The 2016 spiral bound Moments Inked planner is more thin because the daily pages are no longer included.
The planner is the exact same as the planner to be used in the binder.

Thanks so much for taking time away from your holiday festivities to view my post today. I can’t wait to add some ink to my planner. It takes me a while to take the plunge. But, rest assured, I’ll ink it up this week.
Suzanne has a blog post today as well so you can see even more!
And don’t forget, Periscope…TODAY at 1 pm ET!
