I’ve always loved fashion. I even applied and was accepted to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Sometimes, I wonder what my life would have been like had I taken the less traveled road. Regardless, I do know that I still love fashion and I’m grateful that I have a paper crafting passion that allows me to pair the two together. For the Runway Inspired challenge, I’ve selected an Oscar de la Renta gown as inspiration for my card design.
I love polka dots. They are my favorite design print now. I love how polka dots look paired with flowers, so I chose this dress as inspiration for my card. I used the colors and fabric print to design my card.
First, I stamped the polka dotted pattern on black cardstock. The white dots are heat embossed. Next, I die cut “Thanks” and all the Bigger Bloom flowers. After stamping everything, I added it to the card front.
Stamps: Polka Dot Basics, Bigger Blooms, Graceful Greetings
Ink: Versamark, Pure Poppy, Sweet Blush, New Leaf
Cardstock: True Black, White
Dies: Bigger Blooms, Graceful Greetings
Thank you for coming by to see what inspires me from the runway. I can’t wait to see what inspires you!
