Introducing Merry Kiss-mas

Welcome to the first day of Papertrey Ink’s October release countdown. Today, I am previewing Merry Kiss-mas, a beautiful stamp and die collection featuring a mistletoe and great sentiments by Lexi Daly. The  new products will be available October 15 at 10pm EST at Papertrey Ink. Here are a few projects I made to inspire you to burn a hole in that wallet to buy it! It really does make holiday stamping fun and easy.

Project by Ashley Cannon Newell for Papertrey Ink (October 2014 - Merry Kiss-mas)

The Merry kiss-mas stamp set includes lots of ways you can hang the mistletoe, including a couple of bows. I used one of the bows to stamp a pattern for this card.

I also used one of the single berry stamps to create a polka dotted pattern at the top of the card. For the sentiment, I stamped it on an oval die cut and dry embossed it with a snowflake patterned impression plate and layered it on a scalloped oval.

This card is a bit more traditional. I stamped the mistletoe on the coordinating die cut. I used the skinny bow for the hanging treatment.

I used Simply Jane’s frame die cut and also dry embossed it to display the mistletoe. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom.

I stamped the mistletoe with the bow and the sentiment directly onto the card front.

Project by Ashley Cannon Newell for Papertrey Ink (October 2014 - Merry Kiss-mas + Stitched Tag)

My last project showcases how you can use Merry kiss-mas to make tags.

I stamped the mistletoe onto the coordinating die cut and added it to the new Stitched Tag.

I stamped the XOXO sentiment on the front since the tag has a pocket to include more holiday greetings.

You can put small, flat items into the Stitched Tag pocket, but I chose to use another tag to display more holiday greetings.

I stamped the greetings in pinefeather ink and stamped the mistletoe in pure poppy for a tone-on-tone effect. To finish the tags, I used pure poppy baker’s twine.
