Today, I have a few projects to share featuring Dawn McVey’s Book Club stamps and die and also Erin Lincoln’s stitched bookmark dies. These stamp and dies really have me thinking I’m missing out on a book club and now I want to start one. I’ve created a few bookmarks, a tag, and a card. The new products will be available at Papertrey Ink on September 15 at 10 pm EST.
My first project uses the Stitched Bookmark Collection. I die cut the bookmark from lavender moon and harvest gold felt. I personalized the bookmark by stitching Lauren’s name using the Sew Stylish Alphabet 1 dies.
I used a blanket stitch technique to for this bookmark and added flower clusters from Polka Dot Basics #6.
On the back, I added more felt flower clusters. I love how the bookmark is reversible and personalized.
Dies: Stitched Bookmark Collection, Polka Dot Basics #6, Sew Stylish Alpha 1
Felt: Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist, White, Simply Chartreuse, Harvest Gold, Lavender Moon, Hawaiian Shores
My next project showcases the Book Club stamps and dies. I made an anniversary card and coordinating tag.
For the card, I used Bookmark #3. I trimmed the top off a bit and added the gold doily.
I layered heart die cuts and added a few gold sequins.
On the tag, I used the same Bookmark #3 die, but I cut it in half and overlapped it to make it shorter for a tag. To coordinate with the card, I added the doily and a heart die cut.
Stamps: Book Club
Cardstock: White, Aqua Mist, Linen Vellum
Dies: Stitched Hearts, Limitless Layers; Hearts, Bookmark #3
Other: doily, sequins, twine
My last project is a traditional bookmark. I used Bookmark #3 again and stamped mums on it.
I also made a tassel from embroidery floss and baker’s twine.
Stamps: Book Club, Mum’s the Word
Ink: Hibiscus Burst, Simply Chartreuse, Gold
Dies: Bookmark #3
Other: embroidery floss, twine
