Introducing Peaceful Pinecones

Alrighty! This is my first post for Papertrey Ink’s October release. Today, I’m using Peaceful Pinecones, a new stamp set with coordinating dies by Dawn McVey. These new products will be available to purchase on October 15 at 10 pm EST. Now, onto the projects!

On this card, I used Peaceful Pinecones stamps and coordinating dies and coupled it with Background Basics: Super Stripes. I stamped the stripes on a diagonal using melon berry ink, fine linen ink, and aqua mist ink. I stamped the pinecone background pattern on the right side of the card front and also added a strip of bitty dot fine linen patterned paper and some grosgrain aqua mist ribbon. As the focal point, I assembled 3.5″ Limitless Layers: Oval die cuts and added a sentiment and pinecone embellishment.

A very fun color combination for a holiday card – very soothing to bring froth peace and joy!

Up next, I made a little note card holiday set. I bundled them up with a bit of burlap.

The notecards measure about 3.5″ x 4.5″.

For these cards, I die cut the oval frame from Happy Hydrangeas collection using the soon-to-be released limeade ice striped patterned paper. After adhering it to the card front, I stitched around it and distressed the edges using my fingernail. Next, I stamped the pinecone embellishment onto a coordinating die cut and adhered it to the card front with foam adhesive. I stamped the sentiment on a kraft cardstock strip and added a bit of limeade ice striped patterned paper (cut using scalloped scissors). The sentiment was stamping using autumn rose ink. Last, I hand stitched a cluster of dark chocolate buttons.

For my last project, I used a soon-to-be released favor die to create a food tray. I die cut it using some soon-to-be released ocean tides patterned paper and wrapped a bit of limeade ice saddle stitch ribbon around it.

I also added a pinecone embellishment by stamping the pinecone in fine linen and the greenery in simply chartreuse. I used the jar label die cut and coordinating stamp from Friendship Jar to hold the sentiment from Peaceful Pinecones (all stamped in dark chocolate ink).

The food tray contents are filled with some cookie tarts. Can you guess where from?!

Thanks so much for visiting today. Here is a little treat from me…to you! I just love Peaceful Pinecones and I hope you do as well!
