Here’s a little project I’ve forgotten to share with you all. I made a card to gift to parents of a newborn baby boy. For the envelope, I made a coordinating treat bag and tucked the card inside. For this entire project, I used Little Boy Blue collection by Crate Paper.
I definitely wanted to give something that stood out from the rest of the cards the family has received, so I decided on lots of red with some blues and yellows and greens popped here and there. I left the card sort of poking out of the treat bag so you can see how it’s tucked inside.
The treat bag was created using a die by Lifestyle Crafts. I die cut the treat bag from William 12×12 paper and white cardstock. I adhered both die cuts together to make the bag super sturdy and assembled it.
The I added contrast with the wide grosgrain striped ribbon by May Arts.
For the card, I layered some red houndstooth paper with what I like to call baby wallpaper pattern. I used the 6×6 paper pad.
I die cut an oval from the stand out packaging (that’s what that gridline paper is). Then, I die cut the pinking oval from pure poppy cardstock and layered them together. Next, I took some scrap patterned paper from Story Teller and stamped the sentiment from Papertrey Ink’s Tweet Talk stamp set. The stand out embellishment was added to the bottom right section.
After rounded the top right corner and added some Papertrey Ink soft stone grosgrain ribbon, the card was complete and ready to ship to its final destination. I just love how easy it was to coordinate this card and envelope using the Little Boy Blue collection.
Thanks for visiting today. Take care.
