Alrighty…get ready for Day 5 of Papertrey Ink’s July Release countdown. Today, the design team has another group post prepared featuring Fabulous Frames, a stamp and die collection. The creative potential you can build with these products is endless. Just you wait and see! I designed a card with a coordinating envelope as well as a mini album to share with each of you. Here goes…

For this card, I layered a few die cuts as a focal point. I started with an aqua mist polka dotted panel, then layered a couple of pennant die cut shapes. Next, I adhered a die cut label over summer sunrise striped paper with foam adhesive. To add a sentiment (Framed Out #6), I stamped it on a “sun” die for Back Pocket Basics.

This card was easy to create, fun, and full of color. So, I bet you may be wondering about the polka dotted piece in the background, right?!

Well, I decided to stamp a coordinating envelope. Although it is not a perfect match – it coordinates. I stamped the polka dotted pattern and added the “to” and “from” sections using stamps.

Thanks for taking a peek!

For today’s mini album, I used photos of my childhood friends and their children.
The album is constructed of bags and cardstock – that’s it! I layered the red diagonal striped bag first, then some cardstock and more glassine bags. I folded everything down the center,t hen ran it through my sewing machine. I really like the way the book comes together wo quickly.

On the cover, I used the polaroid-inspired die cut frame and the modern upper alpha dies to show the negative “US.” I layered some floral patterned paper underneath and added the “just” tag.

The small shipping tags actually serve a purpose. Since the book is full of photos and stuff, it does not want to stay closed, so I tied the strings together to the back of the album!

See!

Here are all of the pages. Lots of them after you fold those layers together.

BEAUTIFUL mini-album!!
Really love it!!
I think you have finally inspired me to try a mini-album. Somehow, making those has been up there in the “I can’t do that” file with scrap booking. Your card is perfect and I just adore this new stamp and die set. So glad you envisioned it!
Ashley, I love the mini album! So cute! I bet you whipped it up in no time- it would have taken me months! Thanks for inspiring the rest of us!
Love that mini album! I can’t wait to get the new dies and stamps to go with them!
Ashley, your idea for the Fabulous Frames is perfect! I love how you’ve used them today!! What a great set:)
Your frames and all the components are wonderful! So many possibilities!!
Your mini album is so cute. I love the way you used the red striped bag as the cover! Do you know if the die cut polaroid frame fits in the journal card spots of the Project Life inserts? I always cut my cards 3.88 X 2.88.
The master of mini-books strikes again!
So gorgeous, Ashley. And even though *I* know it was a lot of work, you make it look so easy. Love your stamped envie, too.
Okay, truthfully, I wasn’t 100% sure about this new set (since I already have the Sweet Life, all the new alphabet dies and yesterday’s camera set going into my cart), but seeing how you did the title on the frame has just sold me on it! Fabulous projects as always, Ashley!
Congratulations, Ashley on a brilliant idea
How exciting to see it come to life
Ashley, you clever gal! Those frames really are fabulous. What a unique idea, and it can be used with a bazillion stamps and other dies. Your small photo albums really inspire me. (No kids or relatives in my family, and smaller books for friends feel more appropriate than the great big pages.) Thanks again for all your contributions to Paertrey’s great products.
Love the adorable mini album! (But, really, I pretty much love everything you create.) Can’t wait to order another load of PTI goodies!

Ashley – I love the card and album you made and the wonderful versatility of this new frame set! Your projects are always so inspiring! And I love your videos too!
What a wonderful mini album!! I love all the embellies and the way you put it all together!! Beautiful!!
PS. What a great concept with this new frame set and the dies!! It’s one I’ll definatly be adding to my stamps and tools!!
Your work for this month’s releases has been totally amazing! I never knew that you were a photographer, but I’m surely aware of that fact now. LOVE your wedding photos yesterday and the friend pics today. Your mini albums are outrageously gorgeous.
LOVE the way you used the new frame die on your card! The album is great. What a nice collection of pics. I like the striped bag front and it was so creative to use the shipping tags for the closure. Each page is so nicely designed … from the large scallop background to the hearts/lace and multi-paper layers. So nice!
Gorgeous photos Ashley – and really cute kids! I love the black and white photos with the bright colors.
