May 2012 Release Projects | Papertrey Ink

Today wraps up Papertrey Ink’s May Release. This month has been full of amazing new products. I hope I’ve done them some justice with my projects. All of the new products will be available tonight at 10 PM EST. Here are my remaining cards I created.

When I see flip flops, I automatically think of warm weather, summer time, and vacations. I really love wearing flip flops and just picked up a pair the other day. Melissa Bickford really did an amazing job designing Flipping Out images and dies. I can see these flip flops on cards and mini books. The sentiments are a must-have as well for all sorts of occasions.

For this card, I die cut the tag and embossed it with the new Stripes Impression Plate. I added the ribbon to the tag. I also die cut the doily element and layered it with the stamped flip flops. I added the flower from Aloha stamp set – perfect to coordinate with Flipping Out! Simple. Fun. Colorful.

Maile’s stamps are always such a joy to work with. Happy  Hydrangea is no different. I decided to make a card set. Seriously, this came together in about 10 minutes – six cards! I chose a simple layout and color combination. I used sentiments from the new Think Big Favorites #16 as well.
After stamping the flower in Winter Wisteria ink, oval frame and sentiment in True Black, I die cut the bow and stamped the coordinating image. By the way, it is SUPER DUPER EASY to stamp the image onto the bow die cut. I stamped them all in under a minute!  I adhered the bow’s center to the oval frame and added a pearl. I made sure the bow’s tails were lifted for some dimension.
Here is a view of the entire set. The sentiments are from Happy Hydrangea and Think Big Favorites #16.

The Heart-2-Heart series is one of my favorites. I just love the focal image and coordinating sentiments. This cute telephone image is just too cute. I stamped them on pastels for a nostalgic aesthetic.

For a pop of color, I stamped the red heart. For texture, I dry embossed the Simple Stripes on white cardstock. CALL ME!

Love all of your countdown projects!! I have to laugh, because when I saw the peek of the flip flop set, I was like “eh…” but EVERY card/project I’ve seen that you DT ladies have done has me saying “WOW!” awesome. Thanks for the inspiration!!

LOVE the cards ~ I especially love the embossed stripes on the last ones. Did you do that on a score board? I am so stealing that awesome idea ~ next week, after graduation!
