On The Farm

Thanks so much for visiting yesterday to preview Framed Out #4 and Fillable Frames Sentiments! Today is the third day of Papertrey Ink’s May Release and the design team is showcasing On the Farm + Background Basics: Farm & Barn + Chicken Wire Impression Plate + Shape Up Series: Barn and more! Although I don’t consider myself a farm girl, I do have a bit of a country side. This set really is a lot of fun to use. Mix and match it with other sets and you will not be let down. Now, let’s move on to the projects so you can see what I mean!

I chose a country-chic styled design for this baby card. It has so many farm fresh elements, but maintains a fresh, clean style. I kept the colors soft and gender neutral.

First, I stamped the chicken wire pattern at the top portion of the card front. Next, I trimmed the patterned paper strips to about 1/2″ or so and adhered them to the card front at an angle. Then, I added the sunburst stamped die cut.

Here, I stamped the sentiment at an angel to follow the lines of the patterned paper and stamped the chickies and checkerboard pattern. I finished it off with a bit of twill tape.

This card was super fun to create. You just can’t resist this cute barn shape. Instead of making a barn shaped card, I decided to use it as a focal point on a traditional A2 card front. It fits perfectly.

On the barn die cut, I stamped the wood boards, then the sentiment and rooster.

Next, I die cut Mat Stack 4 and embossed it with a chicken wire pattern. I stamped the sentiment on a cardstock strip and adhered it to the label with foam adhesive. After die cutting the new peony, I stamped the coordinating images and adhered it to the label as well.

And I couldn’t leave you here today without a bunch of colorful fun. So, I decided to mix it up with some coordinating patterned papers and layers.

I stamped “howdy” on a gift card envelope and grouped that with a stamped embellishment featuring rolling grass hills and a sunny skyline with a cow. I added another sunburst die cut (love that stamp the most).

I also added a kraft tag behind the envelope and some twill tape too!

Alrighty, that’s all I have to share today. I’m photographing a wedding today, but will be back making more paper crafting goodies in the evening. I’ll be back with more to share soon! To all my “mom” readers, I hope you have a fabulous Mother’s Day! If you need more inspiration, check out everyone else’s blogs too!

Ashley, they are all adorable but your “New Roost” card is my favorite. I’m not a farm gal either but know my creations wouldn’t hold water to yours. Great sets though with obviously lots of versatility.ReplyCancel
