Introducing Heart-2-Heart #1

This week has been jammed packed with great Papertrey Ink anniversary festivities and it continues! Welcome to Day ** of the February release. If you’re coming here by way of Nichole’s blog, thanks for the visit! Today, I have a few projects to share that feature Melissa Bickford’s Heart-2-Heart #1 stamp set and coordinating die. This is such a cute stamp set, especially for those who love coffee and tea. I sure do appreciate green tea almost daily. Enough chatter, scroll on down to the projects!

As a gift to my mom, the ultimate coffee drinker, I created a gift set. I used burlap to wrap some Tassimo single-serve coffee discs. We have had our Tassimo single-serve since around 2005. It was the first on the market, I believe. Although I’ve reverted back to the old tea kettle on the stove to make hot water for my tea, my mom absolutely loves her Tassimo. Since she must be stocked with Maxwell House French Vanilla T-discs, I’m gifting this set to her. The coffee discs come in a package containing two cartons. I wrapped each carton in the burlap and secured it with twine and ribbon. You can use this wrap for coffee beans or any boxed item. It is such an easy gift wrap that does not require a lot of time or effort, but packs a huge presence.

For the gift tag, I stamped it using the new-to-be-released Background Basics: Medallions. After die cutting the coffee mug, I stamped the outline and sleeve. I also added the sentiment strip. To secure it to the ribbon, I used twine with a button.

I also designed a coordinating card to accompany the coffee wraps. I carried over the tag die theme, but matted it on kraft cardstock. I trimmed around it to get the mat effect. I punched a hole in the kraft cardstock and threaded the ribbon through both cardstock pieces and tied a bow. After adhering it to the card front, I added the coffee die cut and sentiment. To finish it off, I added two strips of cardstock; such an easy way to dress up a card.

For the tea lovers, I design this one layer card. Check out how cute that coffee cup is stamped all by itself! I kept the color palette neutral to mimic the color of traditional teas. I also added a birthday sentiment from the new-to-be-released Think Big Favorites #13. I also use a bit of Background Basics: Medallions to add a simple border to the card. I added the satin ribbon, which made the card a bit elegant.

Thanks so much for checking out my samples today using Heart-2-Heart #1! It’s certainly another great stamp set to add to your collection. Don’t forget to stop by these blogs to see more sneak peeks: Nichole, Heather, Melissa. Enjoy your Saturday!

GREAT! Love the awesome color combo on the gift set for your mom. I have a Keurig, and TOTALLY love it. Nothing like a fresh cup, whenever you want :). Fun idea! Then your card – I really love the color combo you used here. Who knew? I’m usually all about color, but I have to say, the monochromatic look of this pairing, is very attractive. Great clean and simple layout too! Thanks for sharing :)ReplyCancel
