Watch Me Wednesday | Baby Card w/ Felt Flowers

Happy Wednesday to each of you! Today, I thought I’d change it up a bit with a bright and cheery card, instead of a fall or holiday card that seems to be on everyone’s minds these days (except mine)! I have been wanting to create some felt flowers for a while now and finally mustered up the nerve to make some. I made one off-camera first to make sure it would work and I could actually pull this technique off before sharing it with you. I thought they would look cute displayed on a button card, so that’s what I did.

Although this card turned out completely different from what I initially imagined, I still like the results. My original idea was to include a small bag on the card front with the button card as an insert, but after I finished the flowers and the button card, I just couldn’t resist making it a focal point as opposed to tucking it into a bag.

I really like Crate Paper’s Emma’s Shoppe collection. Although it is designed with a young girl in mind, the papers are designed to be used for many other occasions as well. Although I really hate to enable you with such a great deal, check out the sale Two Peas in a Bucket is having on 6×6 paper pads! You can purchase Emma’s Shoppe collection for 25% off. I took advantage of this sale the other day and purchased quite a few paper pads. They have a lot of holiday collections available too, so you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity!

Those felt rosettes are just the cutest! I love seeing them in a variety of colors. Staring at them on the button card makes me think of endless creative possibilities, including hair accessories, jewelry, or even clothing concepts. They really are super easy to create, so I hope you give them a try.

Here is a video of how I created this card and a tutorial on the felt flowers below or on YouTube.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have you ever seen the Die-Namics Rolled Roses Dies from Simon Says Stamp? They come in several sizes. Yours are amazing & I so appreciate you tutorial but these are easier. This just comes from a busy, lazy, fellow crafter. I don’t like them so much for paper but they are awesome with felt. You probably already knew and like your own, better.
Thanks for sharing your GORGEOUS card!
