Sweet 16

undefined

Hey there! I hope you all had a great weekend! I had fun doing a bit of photography. We have a poll going on at Ashley McArthur Photography, so if you have a moment, we’d love if you could cast your vote for your favorite photo.

I made this card the other day. Love the textures on this one. I had no one in mind when creating this card, but just wanted to use numbers and thought a significant birthday is always “Sweet 16” for girls. Do you recall your 16th birthday? I vaguely do. I had a pool party I believe. I remember getting a car and driving more than the party! Now, I wish I had a driver!

I embossed the cream cardstock and added distress ink. I stamped the numbers, then die cut the numbers from patterned paper and adhered them with a bunch of foam adhesive.

Then, I added some vintage trim (by Prima – it’s not linked below) and twine. I added a tag (and wrote “sweet” with a marker) and a vintage trinket. I also bunched up three bloomers from some trim.

Here’s another view! I also added some stitching using a Janome sewing machine
Thanks for visiting! I’ll be back tomorrow to share…something!
