Fast Friday Card :: Grow an Old Friend

Hey there, Bleeps! How was your week? Mine went by fairly fast. I’ve been back to working out again this week and boy is it kicking me in my butt! I’m so pooped! So far, I’ve done 10 miles. Last night I was struggling around 3.5 miles into the workout. I caught one of those nasty cramps in my side. My breathing was so off, but I managed to get it under control and finished out the 5 miles. Whew! I didn’t think I was going to make it.

So, needless to say, I was rather happy to return home and create something, anything other than running! I look forward to the day when I actually like running, but I don’t think that day will ever come, just hopeful! I’m sure you don’t want to read about my workouts, so onto today’s card; it’s a fast one!

  1. Trim patterned paper to 4″ x 5.25″
  2. Stamp flowers in various inks on bottom half of patterned paper.
  3. Stamp label and sentiment, cut out, and adhere to patterned paper.
  4. Add stitching.
  5. Ink the edges.
  6. Adhere to A2 card base.

Stamping on patterned paper is so much fun because it’s like you are personalizing your own patterned paper with a little help. I really like this grid patterned paper by Studio Calico (from the March kit).  When stamping on patterned paper, just make sure the pattern does not conflict with your stamped images or sentiments.

So, just like that you can have a quick friendship card created too!

Do you all have any plans for this weekend? I’m looking forward to catching up on a few things and creating some goodies as well! Remember Scrap It Saturday? Well, hopefully it will be back tomorrow. I’ve been working on a layout the past couple of days and plan to share it with you all. I can’t wait!

Thanks so much for your visits and comments! I hope you all have a great weekend!
